    dominantdosha

in your Prakruti gets aggravated in rainy season.

5. keep the passages of your body moist and warm prevent their drying because in
vata prakruti persons the majority of diseases start with drying up of the passages.
Apply a mixture of warm water & til oil regularly.

Dietary changes:

Vata prakrutil persons should eat:

  • 1. Warm, humid, nutritious, sweet & sour foods.
  • 2. Fresh hot meals, prepared using optimum quantity of oil.
  • 3. Regular use of pure ghee in meals is recommended.
  • 4. Plenty of warm fluids e.g. warm soups with cream, butter, tomato soup, vegetable
    soups with tamarind, kokum, lemon & adding powders of dry ginger, little bit of
    black pepper are advised.
  • 5. Puddings (khir) with dry fruits is recommended.
  • 6. Pickles of different varieties taken in between the meals in small quantities is
    helpful

to balance the aggravated vata dosha.

Avoid:

1. Dry, hot, spicy food substances, regular use of pulses, sprouts, green foods prepared from chana dal etc.

  • 2. Chiwda, farsan, misal etc.
  • 3. Refrigerated, rewarraed, day old stale food, etc.
  • 4. Ice creams, milkshakes, fruitsalads, refrigerated, ice-cold water, etc.
  • 5. Bhaji, vada, misal, chole, etc.
    Probable diseases:

Vata prakruti persons are likely to suffer from a number of diseases owing to the dominance of VATA, and its tendency to get imbalanced easily. The likely diseases are

  • 1. Arthritis, & other diseases of the joint.
  • 2. Spondylitis, & other diseases of the vertebrae.
  • 3. Sciatica, frozen shoulder, muscular sprains, ligament injuries etc.
  • 4. Constipation, flatulence, indigestion etc.
    Prevention:

To prevent the occurrence of above mentioned diseases and for the overall maintenance of the body, Ayurveda has suggested a therapeutic procedure called as 'BASTT. This procedure which involves massage, steam bath and administration of medicated oils by enema, is extremely beneficial for persons with vata dominant body constitution. It is recommended especially in rainy season, in which there is natural & seasonal aggregation of VATA.

  • 3. Being nontolerant of injustice, false behaviour which may or may not
    concern you.
  • 4. Getting angry very easily but also forgetting quickly.

  • 6. Your approach towards life is lively and full of vigour.
  • 7. You are keen in observing rules & regulations strictly.

  • 5) Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration due to excessive perspiration . & to

maintain the thermal setup of the body.

  • 6) Use of air conditioners is recommended but keep them low and avoid immediate
    contact with outer environment to prevent sunstroke.
  • 7) Take care of yourself especially AFTER RAINY SEASON because Pitta the
    dominant dosha in your Prakruti gets aggravated after rainy season in September &
    October.
  • 8) Apply cool compress to the eyes with eyelids closed, back portion of the neck, &
    lower portion of the feet. This will help to pacify the heat, relive the stress & revive
    the energy. But avoid doing this immediately after coming from sunshine. First you
    should allow the body to cool down and return to the normal temperature.
  • 9) Control your feelings, keep your mind peaceful, calm and quiet.

10) keep the passages of your body clean and dry.
Dietary changes:

Pitta prakrutil persons should eat:

  • 1) Cool, humid, nutritious, sweet & astringent foods.
  • 2) Fresh hot meals, prepared using optimum quantity of oil.
  • 3) Regular use of pure ghee in meals is recommended.
  • 4) Puddings (khir) with dry fruits is recommended.
  • 5) Sweets of different varieties taken in the meals in small quantities is helpful to
    balance the aggravated pitta dosha.
  • 6) Pickles made of Amla are recommended.
  • 7) Daily use of Amla Murabba along with pure ghee helps to control the tendency of
    pitta to go out of balance.
  • 8) Cold milk blended with cardamom is an excellent refreshing drink for pitta
    prakruti persons.
  • 9) A glass of milk with a teaspoon of pure ghee is a morning drink recommended for
    pitta prakruti persons.

Avoid:

  • 1) Dry, hot, spicy food substances.
  • 2) Regular use of fermented foods like dhokla, Idli, dosa, bread etc.
  • 3) Refrigerated, rewarmed, day old stale food, etc.
  • 4) Chhvda, farsan, misal, Chinese food, pavbhaji etc.
  • 5) Bhaji, vada, misal, chole, etc.
  • 6) Foods containing preservatives, artificial flavours, colours etc.
  • 7) Sauces, vinegar, pickles, chatani etc.
  • 8) Non-vegetarian food.
  • 9) Cheese, paneer, yogurt etc.
  • 10) Excessive intake of salts & spices.
  • 11) Alcoholic & other beverages.
  • 12) Citrus fruits like oranges, mosumbi, lemon etc.
    Probable diseases:

Pitta prakruti persons are likely to suffer from a number of diseases owing to th dominance of PITTA and its tendency to get unbalanced easily. The likely diseases are :

  • 1) Hyper-acidity, Ulcers, Heart burn etc.
  • 2) Allergies of all kinds.
  • 3) Skin diseases, inflammations of different types etc.
  • 4) Bleeding disorders, bleeding piles etc.
  • 5) Hypertension and Ischaemic Heart diseases.
  • 6) Anaemia (especially in females), Jaundice & other liver disorders.
  • 7) Burning sensation in urine, eyes, palms, feet etc.
  • 8) Excessive bleeding during menses.

Prevention:

To prevent the occurrence of above mentioned diseases and for the overall maintenance of the body, Ayurveda has suggested a therapeutic procedure called as 'VIRECHANA'. This procedure which involvesMassage, steam bath and administration of PURGATIVE medicine, is extremely beneficial for persons with pitta dominant body constitution. It is recommended especially AFTER rainy season, in which there is natural & seasonal aggrevation of pitta.

    march & april.
  • 8. Stay warm; dry heat is beneficial for kapha prakruti persons.
  • 9. Drink a glass of water with two teaspoons of honey every day early in the
    morning.

10. keep the passages of your body clean dry and warm.

Dietary changes:

Kapha prakrutil persons should eat:

  • 1. Warm, dry, light foods.
  • 2. Fresh meals, prepared using minimum quantity of oil.
  • 3. Dry cooking methods like baking, broiling, grilling, roasting are good for Kapha.
  • 4. Dry chatni & dry vegetables are recommended.
  • 5. Consume raw salads frequently.
  • 6. Sprinkle your salads with dry ginger powder, and black pepper powder.
  • 7. Chewing of a bite of ginger before meals with little bit of salt is helpful to improve
    the otherwise low digestion of kapha persons.
  • 8. Always choose warm food over cold food.
  • 9. Pungent, spicy, bitter, astringent foods & stimulating foods are good for Kapha.
  • 10. Pickles made of 'Raw haldi' is recommended.
  • 11. Daily use of 'Honey' helps to control the excessive kapha.
    Avoid:
  • 1. Cold, oily, spicy, fried, & heavy food substances.
  • 2. Regular use of sweets, butter, cheese, paneer etc.
  • 3. Dairy products especially curd and butter.
  • 4. Refrigerated, rewarmed, day old stale food, etc.

  • 7. Sauces, vinegar, pickles, chatani etc.

  • 4. Skin diseases.
